Before setting up the Letting Agency, Elaine previously owned and worked in the business of Simply Mortgages, a borders mortgage brokers business that she set-up in 1999 and ran until March 2005, when she decided to go into the Property business full time.
Elaine has built up her own property portfolio since then and is well accustomed to the good and the bad in property rental and can give you first hand advice if you are a
Landlord or someone considering getting involved in the Buy To Let market for the first time.
Elaine formed a partnership with Jeanette, who also previously worked alongside Elaine at Simply Mortgages, having moved from Edinburgh to the Borders. Jeanette worked in Edinburgh in a managerial position with a large Edinburgh Company. Before setting up the Letting agency she worked with a National Company as area manager.
Jeanette managed the day to day running of the business of Simply Mortgages and has much expertise in controlling the financial side of things. With the Letting Agency Jeanette again controls the financial side of things, tracking rental payments along with many other responsibilities.
Elaine & Jeanette have grown the Letting business over the last couple of years and now have over 50 properties under their management spread throughout the Borders. The properties range from studio flats to 4 bedroom houses and can be found in Hawick, Selkirk, Galashiels, Kelso, Jedburgh and others.
Claremont Properties Letting Management operates via a virtual office and are not based in one particular town as their work constantly takes them all over the Borders and they are happy to meet clients and tenants at the respective properties. If you are a Landlord and require a consultation with them, then they will be happy to arrange a private meeting with in a suitable location.
